When the Lord put you in my life
I was all alone and afraid
I was a child --- only fifteen
But you cared! You stayed!

I saw love in your eyes
Heard kindness in your voice
I thought to myself "I trust this man"
So I made you my choice!

Oh, the way you listened
You really “heard"
You told me “I have broad shoulders"
And that is what they are for "
So I cried on your shoulder
And told you how I hurt!

Since then we've come through
Some good times and some bad
And our love grows stronger
As the years go passing by!

You are the strongest man I know
I draw strength from you
I thank the Lord for you every day
And the life that He gave us to live!

He gave us three dear sons
The best that there is
Seeing the love they have for each other
Is an amazement to me!

 Every time you hold me close
Every time you kiss me good night
Every time you say "I Love You"
Just like the very first time
It still gives me a "Thrill"

For you are my "Pride and Joy" you see
And it just gets better every day!!
