What Was In That Bundle?

'Twas God's only begotten Son
Came down that Christmas morn
Wrapped up in swaddling clothes
Laying in a barn 

Mercy was in that bundle
His name was Jesus Christ
For it took mercy to love me
While I was in sin and strife 

There was peace wrapped up in there also
Because He is the Prince of Peace
That passeth all understanding
And takes the place of all fear

Blessed Holy Spirit, He was there too
Jesus said, He will comfort
Till I come back for you

Joy was in that bundle
A different kind of joy
One like I never knew
Jesus, others, yourself
Lord, help me do better at this

Then there was truth in that bundle
For Jesus is the WAY
The TRUTH
And the LIFE

Grace, it was there also
For 'twas by grace I was saved
Because it took grace
For God's only Begotten Son to freely in my place.
